We kicked off the visit with a much-needed caffeine boost - coffee and tea - setting the tone for a warm welcome. A captivating presentation awaited, showcasing the real-world implementation of our textbook knowledge. The focus was on mechanisms designed to stabilize an upper 'bed' while being robust enough to bear a considerable load. Witnessing the application of concepts like bode-diagrams and Ideal Physical Models in actual projects, not just confined to exam papers, was undeniably cool.
After thepresentation, the facility tour unfolded, revealing an array of intriguing machines, from advanced CNC machines to fundamental lathes. Seeing how the products developed through the different phases of the production process, was offcourse awesome to see.
The visit to PM not only broadened our understanding but also underscored the practical application of our academic pursuits.
It was an enriching journey into the world of precision engineering, showcasing the significance of theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios.
As we wrap up our TechTour chronicle, we extend our gratitude to PM for opening our eyes to the practical side of engineering.
Until the next tour!
